Arnold Classic - March 8

We had eleven kids compete in the Arnold Classic NAGA Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Tournament and we couldn't be more proud! They all represented Club MMA with their great attitudes, good sportsmanship and tough spirit. Overall Club MMA placed fourth as a team out of over 75 teams in the kids/teen division! Awesome job to all who competed!

BJJ Seminar - 2.22

Learning some Judo just got us warmed up, because World Champ and BJJ Black Belt, Brian Johnson flew in town all the way from Seattle for a seminar and evaluations. We spent all day on Sunday going over Switch base side control. It was a great amount of knowledge and totally worth it!

Before the seminar we had a Club MMA student, Ryan "Buster" Maness test for his Blue Belt. It was an awesome display of skill and hard work. Brian was very impressed with Busters skill level and awarded him his Blue Belt. I was a great weekend for everyone! We are more motivated now then ever!!!!

Judo Seminar - Feb. 19

We kicked off an awesome weekend at Club MMA Thursday night with a two hour Judo Seminar taught by my childhood Judo Instructor Glen Theiman. We spent the majority of our time learning the throws and set ups, but it was great chance for all the students to get some different training. Thanks you so much Glen for your time and experience!!! We hope to have Glen back very soon.

Valentine's Extravaganza - 2.14.09

It was quite the extravaganza!!

The kids piled in on valentine's day giving mom and dad a chance to hang out by themselves for a few hours. We had so much fun with games, making valentines, making jewelry, bingo and even a Valentine Hunt. The kids figured out the clues, crafted awesome gifts, jumped over those pads and dodged the ball....loving every minute of it!

We were lucky to get to spend the evening with our favorite valentine's!

BJJ Tournament - Jan. 17th

The Mat Monsters battled their way at the Tri-State Grappling Championship in Union, Kentucky January 17, 2009. As a team they obtained 3rd place overall in the Kids and Teens Division.


We are so proud of all our kids that went out and did there best! They returned with a slew of medals and great experiences to help them build their BJJ knowledge. Our adults did great at the tournament too! Congrats to all who participated. You all truly made Club MMA proud!!

Pizza Party - Kids Fun Event of the Month

This month we had a great set of Pizza Parties for the kids! Thanks to all who came. As usual we had so much fun! Mr. Robison mixed it up with slew of new games and made it a great night! Remember we hold fun events for the kids each month, so if you missed this one make sure you mark the calendar for February's Event--A Valentine's Extravaganza!

Happy New Year!

We want to extend a Happy New Year to everyone! After a week closed we got some much needed rest and relaxation! We're revitalized and ready to make 2009 an awesome year here at Club MMA. Thank you to all our clients for a great 2008, we met our enrollment goal for the end of the year and we're excited about the great plans to come.
