In House MMA Tournaments

In March our TaeKwon Tikes spent a weekend competing in our in-house tournament at Club MMA. They amazed us with their Freestyle Punches and Kicks, Board Breaking and performance of their Ridehorse Motion Form. All the kids walked away with medals and smiles!


April 10th, it was the Juniors turn to step up their skills and compete in board breaking, sparring and grappling AND THEY DIDN"T DISAPPOINT! We were so impressed with the the skill shown!


In total there were over 70 competitors and all the kids were amazing! We are so lucky to have such amazing students here at Club MMA!

April Fool's - Annual Magic Show

In Club MMA April Fool's Day Tradtion, we had another successful magic show. Over 100 kids poured into Club MMA, Friday, April 1st to be fooled and amazed!

2 New Club MMA BLACKBELTS

Mr. Bradley Hatting and Ms. Sofie Tedesco earned their blackbelts February 19, 2011 at Club MMA after a 2 hour promotional exam. We have had the honor to coach these two wonderful young adults for the past 6 years. In that time we've watched them grow and mature. They've worked hard, put in countless hours of practice and dedication to their pursuit and proved themselves to have not only the skill to earn their rank, but they embody the attitude of a true Blackbelt.


The exam started with demonstrations of skill, followed by board breaking and after over 15 rounds of sparring, (just when they thought they might be done we saved the hardest for last) they then had to dig deep for more energy and go several rounds of grappling.


We are so proud of Bradley and Sofie and feel honored to have them on our team and part of our Club MMA Family!

Snow Cone Kids Parties

We brought the snow inside and added a little flavor for the kids last Friday night. We had over 100 kids join us as we warmed up with tons of fun and games. Then we got to cool off with some delicious snow cones!



We had a blast! Hope you all can join us for our next kid event on April Fool's Day when we all get fooled with a magic show!

OGC Tournament - Kid/Teen Division Winners

Congrats to everyone who competed in the OGC tournament on Jan. 15th, 2011! Over 2 dozen competitors represented Club MMA incredibly! We couldn't be prouder!



Club MMA won first place in the kid/teen division by 37 points! We are also very proud of adult Nik Hoobler-Scherff who got Silver Medal in the Gi 155-169 lb. White Belt Division! We lost count of how many medals were brought home to Club MMA, but we couldn't be prouder not only of the ability shown, but of the great sportsmanship presented by our team!

New Year at Club MMA

We're excited to be starting a new year here at Club MMA!

First we have to say thank you to all our students who gave us such wonderful gifts throughout the holiday season! We appreciate you thinking of us and can't thank you enough!

Club MMA is going to have a great year this year! We've got a lot of exciting things planned and can't wait to make the school even better than it already is.

Be on the lookout for some great kid events coming up including Snow Cone Party in February and The annual Magic Show on April Fool's Day! We're already starting to plan our summer camps and the schedule for those should be out in February or March!

We also have several Club Members competing this year. Approximately 30 students will be competing in the OGC BJJ tournament in January, Nik Hoobler-Scherff will represent Club MMA and Shawn Hammonds at the Pan-Am BJJ tournament in California in March. We've got a few fighters gearing up for a MMA fight at the end of March, as well as some competitors getting ready for some Muay Thai fights in May. Last but not least, Junior Jabber students Bradley Hatting and Sofie Tedesco will see over 7 years of hard work pay off as they recieve their Blackbelts on Feb. 19th!

Bring on 2011! We're so excited!

Movie Night - The "new" Karate Kid

More than six dozen kids had a fun night in November when this year's flick of choice for our Annual Movie Night was the new Karate Kid!

We once again rolled out the red carpet, got the old fashioned popcorn machine popping and broke out the projector for a fun night!
