Bjj Seminar and Graduation

BJJ Black Belt, Bruce Shephard visited Club MMA on May 11, 2009 for a seminar. Head Instructor, Jeff Robison, first met Bruce at a J.J. Machado Seminar that he hosted lasted year in Evansville, Indiana. It was a great fit, as he has continued to visit and train monthly at the Jiu Jitsu Academy. The 3 hour drive to Evansville has been very worth it, as training with Bruce and his students has been a great learning experience.

Bruce conducted his first seminar with us and we had a great student turnout. He covered a lot of cool techniques for us and spent time on the mat with every student rolling. At the end, Bruce explained briefly his viewpoints on training and how to earn belts, only to then surprise us all with a few tip and belt promotion!

Congratulations to Brian Croll for earning his 3rd stripe on his blue belt
& to Mike & Aaron Willig for both earning their 2nd stripes on their blue belts. Also congratulations to Emily Hatting for earning 2 stripes on her gold belt. 

And last but certainly not least...
a final surprise was given to our very own head instructor:
Mr. Jeff Robison earned his Purple Belt!
